The History of the Gasworks
The Industrial Gas Museum launched in 2013 aiming to showcase and protect the old Athens Gasworks, a unique historical site of great industrial heritage, which provided the city with energy and lighting for 130 years.
Follow the gas production line, admire the unique machinery and learn more about the workers’ crucial role in the old Athens Gasworks as well as the life conditions in the area of Gazi, all this with the help of our experienced staff.
The Black Treasure Hunt is back once again but somehow different. This year we meet the adult and exciting version of our little friends’ favorite educational program. Uncover the secrets of the old Athens Gasworks through riddles and hints on your own or with your company.
This autumn as well, since Sunday 10th September, our favorite visual games “In the Factory yard” is back in the Industrial Gas Museum.
